Nine Sacred Woods Oil for Magic Spells and Rituals.
I've made some oil containing the essences of the Nine Sacred Woods, for you to use in your various magical rituals. Most people use it for anointing candles or magical tools, or as an alternative to burning the actual woods, and it's perfect for indoor working, the urban witch, or anyone who lives somewhere they can't have a real bonfire.
Each bottle of oil contains at least one chip of each of the nine sacred woods and has been steeped for a full moon cycle. You can choose between the fine mix with tiny little wood chips, or the extra chunky version which contains two or three large wood chips of each type. I don't think it makes any difference to anything other than the appearance, although I suppose you must get a drop more oil if the chips are small. One of the current bottles of the fine mix is made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which is darker and thicker than the oil I usualy use. I made some on commission and miscounted so I had one left. I haven't included a photo of it, but if you'd like the Olive Oil just leave a message at checkout.

I realise there are many different versions of exactly which woods to include, but this is the list I learned in the summer of 1986, from someone whose own learning may well have pre-dated the all-too-famous Wiccan Rede. I was told that this list was decided by taking the trees that make up the Celtic tree calendar then removing the ones that aren’t really trees (so don’t have wood suitable for firewood) and the one that should never be burned. It's always made sense to me.
It comes in clear glass bottles, with metal screw caps. These can be washed in hot soapy water and reused, or recycled. To help you keep your supplies in order, they also each have a small round printed label on the lid, as shown.
15ml, half an ounce, or about three and three quarter drams.*

Two and three quarter inches tall and seven eighths of an inch in diameter.
*Each bottle actually contains about 2ml extra because I fill them to the brim not just to where the thread starts.
